It’s summer, it’s July, it’s National Hot Dog Month. Maybe it’s because hot dogs are now a symbol of Americana at Independence Day celebrations or because they’ve become synonymous with the ballpark, but the month of July alone accounts for $614 million in hot dog sales every year.
You might think that a sausage on a roll with a little mustard is pretty low brow (do not even think about bringing your ketchup to the table), but the hot dog can be a culinary experience for certain regions in the country. How many of these have you tried?
We can kind of compare this to our Workday configurations. Everyone has the basic hot dog, but institutions have added variations and integrations that make Workday work for them, right?
National Hot Dog Day is celebrated on the third Wednesday of July and has been celebrated in New York since 1972 when a couple of university students organized a way for students to give back to their community using the inexpensive and easy to prepare staple. Since then, it’s become a larger festival that has extended across the country and raised money for local causes.
